My son, Marcus, is seven and an avid reader (yes! my life’s work is done!). He is also constitutionally incapable of sitting still, although he’s more likely to manage it when reading than at any other time. This means that over the last couple of years, I managed to take photos of him in some quite unusual reading positions. I’ve been talking about making a gallery of “Marcus Reading” photos, as this seems to be the perfect place to do it.
For starters, here he is at our local public library. First he found a couple of books, then he sat down to read them.
It’s usual for him to find one or two books (either that were on reserve and waiting for him or from the display table at the top of the stairs) and then immediately start reading them. Dave and I tend to end up finding more books for him as he’s too busy reading.
